Special store hours for Seniors, Pregnant Women and First Responders



In an effort to help senior citizens, high-risk citizens and first responders and medical personnel during these times of social distancing, several stores are reserving their first few operating hours for them.

Whole Foods: Shopping for age 60 and older is available from 7 am to 8 am at the store at 7930 SW 104th St

· Trader Joe’s The store at 9205 S Dixie Hwy is offering a separate line for seniors outdoors every day and opening for people 60 and older from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

· Walgreens Is offering shopping for seniors 8 am to 9 am every Tuesdays. On that day, seniors 55 and older can enjoy additional discounts on a variety of products that range between 20% and 30%. Restrictions may apply.

· Target: Shopping for vulnerable guests, including seniors and pregnant women is offered from 8 am to 9 am on Wednesdays. The Target store on 15005 SW 88th St also offers Drive Up, in which your purchase is delivered to your vehicle in the parking lot. Deliveries are offered via Shipt.com and Target.com.

· Publix: Designated shopping for seniors age 65 & older is from 7 am to 8 a.m. Tuesdays & Wednesdays, including the pharmacy. Extended hours for first responders and hospital staff is on Thursdays from 8 pm to 9 p.m. and Fridays from 7 am to 8 am, including the Publix pharmacy.

· Dollar General – Dollar Tree & Family Dollar: All of these companies are dedicating the first hour of each day for seniors, high risk individuals, and pregnant women and are asking other shoppers to wait to shop after that reserved hour. Most of them take place between 8 am and 9 am.

· Fresh Market: Shopping for seniors and others at most risk happens from 8 am to 9 am Mondays through Fridays.

· Walmart: From March 24 through the end of May, stores will host a senior shopping hour every Tuesday for customers age 60 and older who may be more vulnerable one hour prior to regular store opening. The pharmacy has a dedicated shopping hour on Tuesday mornings from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. for seniors ages 60 and older. The pharmacy offers drive-thru, no-contact curbside pickup and mail delivery.

· Fresco y Mas and Winn-Dixie: Shopping for seniors and at-risk customers Monday through Friday 8 to 9 a.m.

· Sedano’s: Shopping for seniors 65 and older and at-risk customers from 7 am to 8 a.m.

· Big Lots: The first hour of each day, 9 am to 10 am is reserved for senior citizens.

· Milam’s Market: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am to 9 am is reserved for senior citizen and at-risk customers.

· Costco: Tuesday through Thursday from 8 am to 9 am is designated shopping for seniors 60 and older and people with disabilities, including the pharmacy. They’re also giving priority access to the front of the line when long lines form to any medical professionals and first responders with proper identification.

· Aldi: Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am is designated for seniors, expectant mothers and those with health concerns. They’re also giving priority access to the front of the line when long lines form to any medical professionals and first-responders with proper identification.

· Sam’s Club: Exclusive hero hours for health-care workers and first-responders Sundays from 8 am to 10 am. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 am to 9 am are designated for seniors, pregnant women, at-risk and disabled customers.
