Who are the new buyers and business owners falling in love with Miami?

Asian real estate group to hold luxury summit in Miami

The Asian Real Estate Association of America has selected Miami as the host city for its 2017 Global Luxury Summit in April 2017 adding Miami to the list of other major cities in The US such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago where they have previously hosted the event.

The announcement was made last week, 8 months after opening the Miami chapter of the AREAA last August, and it comes to ratify the growing interest of the Asian market in acquiring real estate in Miami. Very soon when direct flights from Beijing to Miami are a reality, the trade and passenger traffic between the two will only get stronger.

The Global Luxury summit is expected to attract over 1,000 real estate agents and brokers from 35 chapters in USA. The topics usually covered in these AREAA events include working with international clients and executing cross-border transactions, international investment, and emerging markets among others.

Local developers and business owners are welcoming the new wave of Asian buyers; we see proof of it in projects such as Paramount Miami Worldcenter who designed the building with the help of a Feng Shui consultant; or The Estates at Acqualina in Sunny Isles, where the 2 luxury towers where named with lucky numbers in the Chinese Culture (Via Acqualina 777 & Via Acqualina 888). In the business sector, Shanjie Li opened a Cantonese restaurant in the Brickell area to cater to Chinese customers.

Chinese developers have also started to show interest in Miami with China City Construction getting approval for a condominium project in Miami Beach, and purchasing a lot in the Brickell area for a future development.
